lol Yes,I understand that but,we can place a man on the moon, make cars safer with air bags but,we can't make air flights safer.Meaning a stronger body that will be able to fly still.

  1. First of all the flight recorders do get damaged.  Second of all, you realize planes have to be made of lightweight material so they can fly, right.

  2. Because the lighter the material, the less it costs to operate an airplane (because you can carry more passengers now that all the weight isn't put into the shell and it doesn't take as much fuel to propel it). Planes are safe enough as it is, but yes, accidents do happen. Even though statistics is important (more likely to be in a car crash than airplane crash), people do get the paranoia of "what if that slim posibility happen and I just happen to be out of luck and be on the flight." There are ways people can feel more at ease such as flying with a trustworthy airline with a good safety record, research the aircraft to see how old or trustworthy they are. It is just like asking the question, "why dont airlines carry enough parachutes for everyone just incase there is something wrong?" That is just my 2 cents.

  3. DO A SEARCH!

This question has been asked hundreds of times.

Flight recorders have indeed been destroyed in crashes.

Want and answer, try this.  Tape a raw egg inside a steel box.  Drop is from the top of a building.  Open box and examine egg.  That would be the passengers.
