"deadly "spiders in spain?

in andalusia black spiders, small enough to fit on your fingernail, with white markings either side of the head that make it look like it has fangs (!). are they dangerous?

i was told (by a neurotic teanager) that they are deadly (!)

  1. i have lived in a small town af malaga for 10 years now and im not dead yet hahaha. ive never heard anything about deadly spanish spiders. and im hoping i dont lol.

    i think its rubbish, we hardly get spiders out here, thers more cockroaches than anything else, and i dnt think they bite lol


  2. Neurotic teenagers are deadly! Not any spider in Spain that I know of can be called deadly. There are some large ants that can give you a nasty nip, but other than being irritating that is all.

    I've lived here 17 years and never once in all my treks in the countryside have I even seen or felt a "deadly" spider. The spider you are refering to jumps too, but is harmless.
