  1. I would try the following...

    Research what pH level (or acidity) of acid rain typically is. Then get yourself a little swimming pool pH kit. With that kit you should be able to make some water acidic according to what acid rain should be.

    Now if you can get 4-6 plants that would be ideal. Give half your plants normal water and half your plants your acidified water (to simulate acid rain). You'll also need to add fertilizer to help them grow, but give the same fertilizer to all of the plants.

    Now after you give them water for a few weeks you can measure to see if they have any differences between them. Things you could measure are height, stem thickness, number of leaves, etc.
