"female" infection... please help!!?

This is terrible... major itching, burning... I bought that OTC monistat at the store... 20 bucks!!... just used it a while ago and it feels awful. Anything else I can do to speed the healing process of this likely yeast infection?? Anything, anything!!

um yeah you should see a doctor if it's totally unbearable but i've heard vanilla yogurt helps the itching

I don't remember yeast infections being painful. Anyhow eat yoghurt that helps to kill bacteria. But see a doctor of course and do some reading so  you know what to ask.

The monistat feels awful for sure.  Try to find AZO Yeast at the drugstore.  It should be next to all the monistat stuff.  It won't get rid of the infection--the monistat will do that--but it'll really help with the burning and itching symptoms.

well to stop it from burning, maybe some ice in a bag with a thin towel wrapped around it? that will keep it cold for a little while so you wont be all stinging. and maybe you should wash it really fast. that helps alot usually, get in the tup with cold'ish water, and scrub "down there". itll keep it clean and fresh so that it can heal faster. and baby powder will SO MUCH! put baby powder on it, and let it air out. all of that should help a little bit :] hope i helped you!

I tried that monistat too, and it made me feel even worse.  I went to my Dr.---it was a yeast infection as I had thought.  She gave me one pill---you take it and it continues to work for 5 days--and the yeast infection was gone.  Go to see your Doc is the best advice I can give you--expensive, but so is medicine off the shelf that doesn't work.

yeah you can see your doctor. Yoghurt is meant to help with yeast infections and steer clear of love making for awhile.

is it thrush?? sounds gross, but plain yoghurt on a tampon will cool it for a while.

It sounds like thrush. A pharmacist can sell you treatment for this over the counter. Otherwise probably a good idea to get a doctor to check it out.

Yes! Drink lots of water, don;t wear underwear (or wear cotton ones if you have to) and eat lots of acidophilus yogurt with live cultures.

Cranberry Juice typically helps with yeast infections... but yeah you should definitely see a doctor! :)

Canestan cream, helps to sooth itchy etc. If your problem doesn't improve over the next day or two go to the doctor.

take a couple of benadryl (50mg) for the itching then go to bed.  It should be less by morning.

You should see a doctor.  Monostat shouldn't be used unless a doctor consulted you first, or at least thats like what the package said.  The only time I've had a yeast infection though it was connected to a urinary tract infection so I'm not entirely sure, but it can't hurt right?

I'm not sure how to speed up the healing process, but to prevent it from coming again, don't eat lots of white bread in combination with lots of sugars. :X

if you are not sure go see your doctor.........other than that 3 days os monistat should cure a true yeast infection....BUT it could be trichomonas, or chlamydia.

If its a yeast infection, which it sound like your gonna wanna drink a lot of cranberry juice, and eat yogurt..that will speed up the recovery a bit. Call your gyno if it get too unbearable.

Drink a shitload of cranberry juice, and are you on antibiotics? Cos that usually causes yeast infections.
