"freak" goals?

have you had or seen any "freak" goals in a hockey game (doesnt matter if it was a real game or a pick up).

The one TOM mentioned was a playoff goal, scored by John LeClair against Dominik Hasek on the Sabres. The puck went through a rip in the right side of the net instead of the front. Play restarted before the refs knew, so the goal was forced to stand.

Yeah, a couple of playoff seasons ago when there was a small trend with players scoring by putting the puck on the goalie's back and bouncing it in the net.

I saw a freak non-goal in a Calgary game late last season. The puck hit one goal post, then the other goal post then back to the first goal post and finally out of the goal crease. There was another game (in the playoffs, I think) where the puck hit both goalposts then rolled out of the goal crease. But in many,many years of watching the NHL, I never saw the puck hitting 3 posts like that.

Best one of all....   April 30th 1986 - Calgary & Edmonton - Game 7 - Steve Smith of Edmonton, in behind his own goal line, tries a clearing shot up the ice and he hits Grant Fuhr in the side of the pads and it goes in on his own goal...

March 18, 2008 Toronto at the Islanders.

Vesa Toskala allows a 180 foot goal, it bounced about 6 times before it beat him over his glove.

Yes, daniel briere passed a puck from behind the net and it hit a defensemens skate and went into the net.

I remember one quite a few years ago scored on the Leafs. I forget who shot it, but he fired it high on the glove side, beat the Leaf goalie and it went right through the net. The red light initially came on but went off right away as the puck looked to be in play. The refs, also seeing the puck in play allowed the game to continue. They conferred after the next whistle (this was pre-video replay) before declaring a goal.

that Dallas star who scored by getting hit in the face knocked on unconscious and having the puck deflect into the net was quite the freak goal.

@ a sharks game some guy shot a puck through a 1/2 foot hole in the net to win 1/2 a million bucks
