Chuck Berry's music publisher sued John Lennon for copyright infringement because Lennon used one of the lines ("here come old flat-top") from the song in The Beatles' 1969 song "Come Together".

Does anyone know of any other examples of lines taken from other artist? And got in trouble or sued?

  1. I know the Rolling Stones took a lot of their music from Chuck Berry without crediting him properly.

  2. No he sampled Under Pressure

  3. Yeah.

  4. Remember when Vanilla Ice got sued by Queen and lost. Pretty much ruined his career. I think he sampled Another One Bites The Dust.
