After graduation (preferably BE, BSc, BStat. etc.) you can appear for Indian Forest Service (IFS) exams conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). This exam recruits for the post of DFO (Divisional Forest Officer) which is an union level class 1 Gazatted Post.

Alternatively, state public service commissions also conduct their own exams for class 2 and class 3 posts like Sub Divisional Officers, Forest Range Officers, Deputy Range Officer etc.

You can also join NGO's as an environmantalist or botanical/forest specialist.
