"rust spots" on clothing?

Lately I've noticed what looks like rust spots on my clean clothes, right out the washer. I tried something in a bottle to run through the washer ( I didnt see any rust in the tub) and tried RIT rust remover for clothing and that didnt work either. Why am I getting this? I live in the city and never had this prboblem before. How do I get the rust out of my clothing? I even rubbed color safe bleach on each spot, let sit overnite, then washed and the rust is still there. Help!

The only thing I can think about is that the pipes leading to your house and washing machine are rusty. Thats why you don't see rust in the machine. Try to have the water tested.
