My visa (F-1) was on hold for Administrative Procesing .I checked the wesbite and next to my Application number "send ppt i-20 with feasible date" is being given. Please let me know what documents are required other than Passport an I-20 to be sent to Embasy for processing of my visa. Thanks in advance.

if you have questions? why not get in touch with your school advisor ? have you submitted your passport and the I-20 form ?

You cannot be issued an F-1 visa without the Form I-20. Do not worry about the visa at this time. The most

important thing to do is to send the HCC International Student Services acceptable proof of financial

ability. When the financial papers are approved, HCC will send you the Form I-20 and your original financial

papers, which you must have to apply for your visa.

2. What is the F-1 visa?

Your visa is only your travel document. It does not give you permission to enter the United States. When

your visa is issued, the embassy or consulate will return the Form I-20 to you in a sealed envelope, which is to

be presented to the United States Immigration at the port of entry. The permission to enter the United States is

given at the port of entry on a document known as the I-94, a small white card, which will be stapled inside your

passport. The Immigration Inspector will stamp your I-20, take pages one and two, and return pages three and

four to you. DO NOT LOSE YOUR PORTION OF THE FORM I-20. It is a very important document.

**If you have an F-1 visa from a previous visit to the U.S. and it has not expired, you may travel directly to the

United States with a new HCC Form I-20 without visiting a United States embassy or consulate.

sounds like the embassy didn't think you would be able to meet your official class start date.  You have to be able to actually get to your class within a reasonable time frame or you can't be issued a student visa. Time to talk to your university and find out what needs to be done.

I am not certain why you do not simply accept the fact that they want your passport and a new I-20 with a reasonable start date so that they may issue the visa and you may arrive in time to start your classes.
