you have to talk to them because thats a normel convo. talking at them is commanding them and treating them like nothing.

Going slightly off the subject here, sorry.

My mother is in a wheelchair and when I take her out we both get so annoyed because people will say things like, ask your mother if she would like this or this in a shop.

Its awful

She is sitting down, thats it. Dont treat her as deaf or stupid please

When you talk to people, you both speak and listen. When you talk at people, you're dictating to them rather than listening to their opinion.
