i have a theory for why do songs keep getting worse with time especialy in Arabic music. What the theory basicaly says is that every song is made up of Lyrics and Tune and so with time people make up songs and they "use up" all the beautiful tunes and lyrics and so next generations have less choices of tunes and lyrics and so making a good song becomes harder with time.

  1. ahh yeah true and instead of using this to improve as artists and think of new types of music and new ways to say things, enhancing their creativity and what not they choose to just saying anything that rhymes and dance around half naked to make money

  2. Your theory makes sense to me. There are only so many ways, and so many tunes to the ways to say "I love you", sadly most Arabic music only focuses around these words, the songs that had meaning about life, and inner spirit do need to be brought back.

    Just my opinion , Cheers!

  3. yh thats true LOL

but i love the bad ones, theyre so funny

have you heard that dominique woman?? HAHA

  4. the imagination has no limits

lyrics and music can never be used up as long as people have something to say

look at artists like Souad Massi .. Cheb Khaled .. Mohamed Mounir .. Nadim Mohsen .. Kazem Al Saher .. Ziad Rahbani .. Marcel Khalife ...... !!!

in western music : Paco de Lucia  .. Metallica .. Seether .. Evanescence .. Creed .. Santana ... and trust me .. i don't wanna even start with the deeper darker blacker doomier metal genre right now ...

they are true artists who pour their heart and soul into their art ... they don't "scribble some words .. ok sooo let's make a song ... ana koly marar .. hobak kolo nar .. ana 7akhod arar ......... ok here's a song" and then steal some Turkish or Greek music  ... this is not even music ...

if only i could start to educate those who claim they are "Composers" and "Poets" !!!!!!

    i don't wanna start screaming

  5. Well I guess we have reached a point where music starts to sound the same, because in western music we are limited to the seven notes A,B,C,D,E,F,G even with sharps minors flats or havening them in different octaves there is only so much you can do. I agree with you the lyrics are getting 'used up' theres only so much we can sing about, unless someone comes up with something completely new.

  6. Hi  !  How are yOu?

It's true but there are new songs that I prefer far more to some boring old songs...  I know the old songs were full of meanings but some are just too long and too ''disturbing'' to me.

  7. That is true ....you will notice that modern music goes in waves. Each wave seems to contain similarities that are used over & over again...it's a form of recycling & part of the reason that modern music won't stand the test of time unlike the work of the masters !

  8. Songs now a days are like movies, they are running out of originality and have to go back and reflect on others.  Not saying that every song out there isn't original in some way, but, there is a lack of something new.
