i hate this q because if u think about it its in the holy word it has 2 b true look up genesis 1-24,25

then god said"let the earth bring fourth living creatures after there kind, cattle and creeping things and beast of the earth after there kind" and it was so.

25, god made the beast of the earth after there kind and every thing that creeps on the ground after it's kind, and God saw it was good.

if u don't believe me look it up in the BIBLE believe in the holy word pplz!!!!!! p.s he tells them to b fruitful and multiply over the earth

I'm a Christian, and all I know is that before the egg, or the chicken, there was the idea of the egg or the chicken.

Nobody will ever know which one was first, because nobody was there when it happened.

i love this question. don't get me wrong. i have faith in a higher power, but sometimes i cant believe that people believe all the hocus pocus c**p the bible "claims" to have happened. I mean, i cant recall ever seeing any ocean or body of water for that matter splitting or another man rising from the dead 7 days later (besides Tupac) but anyways, looking at it through a scientific perspective, the question is not very specific, therefore it is not specified that the egg has to be that of a chicken, so since dinosaurs walked the earth before the modern day chicken, and since they laid eggs, the egg came first.

if you believe the logical scientifically founded ideal, then the egg, for there were not always chickens, it started with a series of mutations in the birth of the chicks (evolution)

The Bible isn't law.  It is a book of fables and stories to teach us morals.  Truth is no one knows any of this.  These stories could be the ancient way of explaining evolution.  If you take the religion out of the Old Testament- they are life tales and explain how the earth became as it did.  Like the first chapter of Genisis is the ancient way of explaining the big bang theory.  All of it is explained thru science.  AND yes I do believe in God.  He guides us in our lives and gives us hope.  Plus he challenges us to make us better people...and expects us to follow his teachings so we can treat others better and with honesty and kindness.  Believe what you want to believe, it will make you a better person.

The chicken would positivly come first because it would take care of its self and young. If an egg came 1st it would die because no parent would warm the egg or fertlise it.

in the question above,it is clearly stated that "what comes first chicken or egg?" ..thus I would answer EGG..why?,..it is because based on the question, it is not stated if the egg is chickens' or any breed of egg laying animals like dinosaurs...ANd we all know that dinosaurs came in existence first before any egg laying animals.
