i am appalled at the decisions of casting such wrong people in this movie. every one knows if the movie was a hit the first two times, do not change up actresses or actors, it is doomed to fail... this isn't day time t.v. where you have 6 months on a daily show to convince the t.v. audience to accept the new man playing an old character. this is a one shot thing.
1. Rachel Weisz
Evelyn Carnarvon
should of never been replaced by an uppity bostanian acting actress named Maria Bello !!! , she was awful !!! what was with the sexual look at my legs, can i tie this light red coat any tighter in this snow storm, so i will look hot... oh and lets not forget her horrendous 60's glasses.. what the f...?
2. Brendan Fraser
Rick O'Connell. was so off his game in this movie, no connection between him and his leading annoying lady, stumbled lines, pauses .
just basically not his usual performance in the mummy I or II or even his other movies...
3. John Hannah
Jonathan i have to admit, if it wasn't for his slapstick, this movie would not had an ounce of feeling the other mummy movies had. hope you paid him big bucks, for even though some lines were not really good, i believe the writers are blamed for that. for what he was given he carried it off.
4.luke ford, in some scenes looked older than his father, with his wrinkled forehead, looked like a man hitting his middle ages... yuck
why did they not get a boy budding for man hood, like an 18 year old or even a virgin horny 16 year old, that could of had his first crush on Michelle Yeoh. could of played it better, youth and teen , so much better than what they choose. we the movie watcher did not want an adult child oconnell !!
5. michelle yeoh daughter witch and Isabella Leong the mother witch, did all right for the script they played. the sacrifice death scene of leong was corny acting. but by that time in the movie you were expecting it from everybody.
6. Pluses in the movie, costumes, scenery, special effects, yeti, a little over the top of the football, but we needed the comic relief as the movie was so awful and unbelievable. stone horses and chariot really good. and even the bad guy especially in the first scene was fantastic, with all that opening , it Falsely to led you believe it was going to be a good movie, Russell Wong and Anthony Wong Chau-Sang did there part well.
and the last character made no sense at all. friend of o'connell son professor? then Roger Wilson betrayed him for money... what was that, no build up... nothing. i am sure he did well for the script given, but the script sucked.
what do you guys think?
