"windows cannot find the sscvihost.exe,make sure you typed the name correctly..."how do i remove this?

Every time when i turn on my laptop, there is a sscvihost warning message.I've tried to scan it with AVG 8, Ad-Aware, and ESET, and also, i've uncheck the sscvihost button in MSCONFIG, but those all didn't work! Please help me!

Try to find out where the file lies within the registry, as it may be launched from there and not from the Run or RunOnce section, which would make MSCONFIG useless for this task.

Open regedit.exe (with administrator permissions) and search for sscvihost.exe. See what sections it has lodged itself in and search the net for instructions on how to remove those sections (take special care on what you edit/delete !!!)

Standard removal instructions for this would be navigating to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\... NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\

...and noticing the value:

“Shell” = “Explorer.exe SSCVIHOST.exe”

Edit the value so that sscvihost.exe is removed, only "Explorer.exe" remains (WARNING: DO NOT REMOVE THIS VALUE!!! Just make it "Explorer.exe")

Then, go to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\W...

...and check whether or not you have the following value:

“Yahoo Messengger” = “%System%\SSCVIHOST.exe”

Clever, eh? Disguising as Yahoo Messenger.

Next, you should clean up the following key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\W...

...by removing this value:

“shared” = “[SHARE NAME]\New Folder.exe”

I presume that you do have access to regedit.exe since you don't have the sscvihost.exe process anymore. In case you can't, you must do a full cleanup of the virus (see the cited source for full instructions)
