 It is possible, but not advisable.  Transmitters, or controllers, activate groups of servos, proportionally to their respective craft, to accomplish the desired manuevor.  A turn that requires a 3 degree movement in the tail rotor of a heli, may require a 9 degree movement in an airplane's rudder.  However, as long as the transmitters and receivers operate in the same frequency bands, the chrystals can be swapped between planes and helis, if they are swapped in pairs.  I hope that was helpful, Bill Ecklor
