the point is that the man already had kids before and so she feels that he is not exactly very supportive on this issue.they have been to see consultants and she was only treated for minor issues and hussy has been diagnosed for same LSC.they tried the IVF and it failed,in spite of the fact that he was given some sperm-boost treatment.my friend is getting devastated and it is beginning to affect her as she keeps thinking now that all hope is lost.funny thing is that she feels everyone is making a mockery of her as she confided in me that a relative advised her to try and have it with another man and pretend it is for hussy.my friend has never cheated on hussy before, neither has she ever given it a thought to do so.she is more confused by the day and yet anxious to carry her own kids.they have been married for eight years now.

  1. There are sperm donors out there..she can try home insemination with her husband's consent.

  2. perhaps consider a sperm donor with his concent, its not far on her husband or the baby to be tricked into this! it will have devostating results!

  3. i'm sorry to hear your friend is going through this....but there's hope....she could talk to a fertility specialist about IVF + ICSI which is a special type of IVF for men with low sperm count...also he needs to see an urologist for help...they specialize in male infertility...tell your friend, or you can find out for her that she can also ask a fertility specialist online for free for advice, and find other women going through similar situations try www.FertilityTies.com

    good luck!

  4. She should try IVF one or two more times, and while waiting to see if that works, she needs to talk to her husband about using donated sperm instead. If he's not that concerned with having more kids, then I doubt he will be happy about having another one on the way, she might want to rethink having children with this man. I would not suggest cheating. Men donate sperm for this reason (or whatever their reason, it's there for women like her to use).

  5. After everything your friend has tried already, the next option would appear to be IVF or IUI with donor sperm.

Of course both partners in a marriage should be on the same page regarding how many children they want, and what extent they go to in trying to have them. Your friend and her hubby may need to seek family counseling if they cannot come to a consensus on their own.

Best of luck to your friend.
