i am a 7th grader going into 8th grade and i will be taking the shsat very soon, october 25th to be exact and i am reading many books and taking manny practice tests and im even going to a princeton review prep school this september to october so i was wondering if any one has experienced this test and can help me in doing a few other helpful things to do better on test that you did when you took it because i am putting stuvesant as first choice and i really want to get into it and i realy need help raising my score oh and this isnt necasary but by any chance does any one know what the cut off score score for staten island tech or stuyvesant are... thanks!!!

  1. won't be hard, the quality of students are decreasing each year due to more seats being opened, lowering of the cutoff annually, and grade inflation

    the city has to stop listening to the incessant crying of the parents with downright stupid kids claiming racial/gender/age/petspecies/canned tuna discrimination

    do some practice tests, the cutoff changes from year to year, and they take the top <insert number of seats for that year> scorers that break the cutoff for picking stuyvesant first, after that the start taking from those that picked it second, so picking first is always advantageous for a school you want to get in badly, you could score a 690 and not get into stuyvesant if you picked it second and all seats are filled before your score is considered
