does your placenta stay the same in all your pregnancies? with my daughter it was in the front, and she was able to get behind it and kinda "hide". so i was wondering would it be the same for this pregnancy as well.

  1. Ok how old are you? Everytime you have a child you deliver the placenta also. It will never be the same placenta. However you will use the same uteris for all of your children.......

  2. The placenta grows from the embryo, not the womb. Therefore the placenta will be located where ever the embryo randomly attatches to the uterine wall.

  3. it grows and moves as your baby and uterus grow/stretch..of course it doesnt just detach itself and alk to the other side of your uterus but as the uterus stretches i generally moves with it

  4. newrackg28 how old are you? Its Uterus not "uteris". Make sure you understand someone's question before you answer. Or at least make yourself "seem" smart if you're going to "rag" on someone.

The answer to your question. The placenta probably will not be identical to previous pregnancies. I have "extra" placenta. The doctor said that it was only for this pregnancy. Most likely in future pregnancies the placenta will be different. Just all depends on implantation.

  5. I believe it is more related to the actual location of implanation rather than past pregnancies, but you should check with your OB/GYN to be sure. However, placenta previa is more likely in high-risk pregnancies (such as older mothers), so it's hard to know for sure.
