1. Well it all depends on you. As the above people said, if you are a hard-worker, determined, focused, and have good time-management skills then it can be done.

I have taken AP World History and AP Biology. AP World History is a lot of work. There is a lot of content so there is a lot to be memorized. You do not have to know so much as dates but more about time period and when an event took place relative to another event. You do also have to know events of course and people and how they compare to other people with aspect to what they do. You must think in a broad scale like when something happens in China you must think how it affects the rest of the world. You will need to read the book or take really good notes and pay attention completely to your teacher. It is a lot of material but if you really want to do it then go ahead. I took AP World History my junior year with 3 other APs (Chemistry, Physics B, and Computer Science AB) and ended up getting an A in the class and a 5 on the exam.

AP Biology is a lot of work as well. It is a lot of material and goes into a lot of depth. It is also very broad as in that it covers a lot of topics but some of the questions on the AP exam are very specific. You have to make sure that you read the book and do all of the work assigned. You should always ask the teacher questions if you do not understand. I took AP Biology my sophomore year with 1 other AP (Government) and ended up getting an A in the class and a 5 on the exam.

I have not taken AP English but the courseload depends on which one you are taking. AP Language is a lot of essays and reading especially in nonfiction while AP Literature is a lot more essays and reading especially in fiction.

I will give you one warning: with these three courses you will have to read a lot and write a lot of esssays. For AP World, you will need to read about 1 hr a day and my class had about 10 essays the whole year. For AP biology, you will probably have to read about 1 hr - 2 hrs a day and my class had about 5 essays the whole year. From what I have heard AP Language, you will probably have to read about 1-2 hrs a day and the class averages about 20 essays the whole year and AP Literature is a lot worse, about 2 -3 hrs and 30-40 essays the whole year.

  2. When you say "too much", do you mean the number of AP exams you take or the subjects that you take? If it's about the numbers then No, that won't be much. As far as i've known, there isn't really a limit on how many AP exams you can take. I took four AP exams in my junior year and no one stopped me from taking the four exams. Some of my friends even took five AP exams in their junior year so i guess that's alright.

HOwever, if it's about the subjects that you're taking then yes, it mabe a lil too much. Actually it depends on you. IF you're a smart, hardworking and efficient kid, then probably that wouldn't be a problem in taking those three exams in the same year. However, if you're not, then i recommend you not take those three exams in the same year.

AP World History is like AP US HIstory. It's all about dates, dates and DATES; events, Events, EVENTS! THerefore, you need to memorize everything in detail when you take the multiplie choice exam. I've never taken AP World History before but i assume there's a "Document Based Question" essay for you to write. If there is one, then you'll def. need to spend a lot of time reviewing the history in depth. I'Ve spent nearly all of my time studying on APUSH. Trust me, that will take you a lot of time to accomplish it well (if you want a score of 4 or 5).

I've never taken AP Biology before but i know some of my friends spent most of their time studying it. Biology is also about memorizing things in detail. Therefore, you will also need to spend a lot of time on it.

I believe it's the same for AP English as well.

Here are the reasons why i do not recommend you to take them in the same year:

If you're a sophomore: You're too young. WHy giving you youself so much pressure? Enjoy the fun times with your friends, school, etc because believe me, you wont have enough time to hang around with friends in junior year. If you're really a bright kid, you can choose by taking one or two AP exams first, but don't take all three exams together at once!

If you're a junior: Taking three AP exams in the same year is quite common for many juniors. HOwever, it depends on the subjects that you're taking. THe three exams that you've chosen are all hardcore exams. YOu gotta think about it carefully. You can't simply spend all your time on studying only these three exams. You have other subjects to care about and really, Junior year is the most important year for you throughout your four years in highschool. If you bombed many of your subject grades like getting C or below, you'll have a danger in getting to great colleges even if you get 5 in all your AP exams. College is about GPAs and SATs and essays. SAT 2 and AP exams are important as well, but they're the minor thing that college cares about. So you gotta think about these stuff carefully.

If you're a senior: Why take the exams? You're applications are sent out already! (Unless you're taking the AP classes or else don't take them).

Okay, so these are my suggestions. Overall, it won't be TOO MUCH to take three AP exams in the same year. But based on the subjects you want to take, then yeah it might be a lil' too much. YOu just need to manage your time efficiently, that's all.

    OKay, good luck!

  3. The answer to your question depends on a lot of factors. I've taken four AP classes in one year before (I actually did that twice), so it can be done, but the answer depends on how challenging your school's courses are, how challenging your specific teachers are, the rest of your couseload, and things like that that people on Yahoo! Answers can't answer for you. However, the greatest factor is YOU. How driven of a student are you? How hard are you willing to work? Are they your stronger subjects? Only you know the answer to this question, but I will say that people have taken more than that and survived with straight-A's and even straight-A+'s.

  4. You need to be good at time management if you plan on taking all 3 AP courses. You can use www.bubbabrain.com to help you study for AP biology, show your fellow classmates and teacher, it is a neat website.

    How to use bubbabrain

Select a grade level on the left hand menu, and click on it.

Select the subject, and click on the subject drop-down arrow.

Select a word set from the drop-down menu and click submit at the bottom of the page.

The top left box will say “find this” and a definition will be listed below. Click on the term that matches the definition. A new definition will appear, and you must find the new definition.

Continue until you have cleared the rest of the board.

    Good luck
