1. Try eating fruit instead of cookies. (If you eat cookies regularly, haha. When I broke my leg, I sat around the house and ate cookies all day).

Also, try power walking. Power walk for 10 minutes everyday.

  2. You're clearly losing your mind if you think gaining a little under 4 1/2lb is "fatness".

Worrying about weight can eat your soul. It's not worth it. Eat properly (that's PROPERLY), go for a walk, and try pilates. Pilates is incredibly hard work but not cardiovascular, so might be suitable.

    And be sensible, please.

  3. You may be able to get some stretch cords and hand weights to help tighten and tone your muscles and if you are allowed to use an inflatable exercise ball they're great for toning the core muscles. Takes a good sense of balance and must be able to sit on the ball without it rolling out from under you.

Also these balls can be used for low impact exercise programs to help target specific muscle groups, but before you get one check with your doctor first to be sure they're ok for you to use.

Another thought--if you can't ride regular bike, would you be allowed to use an exercise bike?? Wouldn't be as much fun riding that but would still give you the exercise you want.

  4. YOGA ball!!! You can buy one at any sports store and they come with a pump to inflate. They are awesome for doing stomach work and they come with a dvd on all kinds of exercises.
