Question

Any advice on architecture?? What qualifications i need??....i don't really know much about it...

My friend wants to do architecture and she has been told to do Physics, Art and English as must do A levels.. Hope this helps!

well im going that also and i just started college, im at a community college (because its cheaper) but im gonna transfer my junior year to a tech institute that has some really good archiecture classes, but im taking a drafting class right now just to get a heads up.

Architecture rocks.

You&#039;ll probably want to be good at both art and math, but if you love one and can tolerate the other, then you should be in good shape.  Most students coming from high school into college have little or no experience with architecture, so don&#039;t worry if you don&#039;t have specific qualifications.  Just a clear creative ability and/or strong test scores--depending on the school, you&#039;ll need one or the other or both.

I would say, start checking out the portfolios available on school websites and see if it looks exciting.

Architecture school is a great start for a lot of careers other than buildings, too--Furniture design, web design...Pixar recruited at our school this year for 3D film animation. An instructor of mine did spacial planning and weight distribution on cargo ships for the Navy. I have a friend who is now working for Disney as an Imagineer.
