1. find a t.v. show something to keep her busy...play with her ask her what she likes to do...

  2. put in a movie of her choice and give her a snak and a tasty drink. that'll stop her.the great thing about kids is how easily distracted they are.

or if theat doesn't wrok she could be tired, try to get her to lay down, and be quiet.

  3. I would put her in time out and afterwards have a short discussion on how her behavior is affecting everyone else around her. Let her know that there are cosequences for her actions and it upsets mommy and daddy when she behaves this way.

  4. mayeb she is bored---read to her, give her a snack, ask her what she wants to do, have a tea party, time for a diaper change?? or a nap??....finger paint using shaving cream--messy but fun. go for a walk (depending upon where you live and what time it is)

  5. shes mostlikely bored play some games, have a snack, or watch a movie. being on the computer might not be such a good idea... good luck :)

  6. Sit down on the floor and have her sit with you and explain to her she is misbehaving and if she does it again she will get a time out. Then while still sitting with her - ask her what she would like to do or suggest what you two can do together and work towards that. I find that when my kids get a bit out of hand if i just sit on the floor it shocks them enough to get their attention and changes the environment a bit. Good Luck!!

  7. First of all, take charge of the situation. You're the adult and her supervisor. Don't show fear or she'll walk all over you and think she can do whatever she wants while you're watching her b/c she knows you'll let her get away with it.

Tell her she needs to stop. If she doesn't stop after two warnings, put her in timeout (shorter time if she's younger. If she's like 3, give her 10 minutes) and tell her you'll play with her when she starts acting like a good girl.

When she starts behaving better, read to her, play games with her-- keep her busy and focused-- then she won't have time to be a brat.

If her parents ask how she behaved when they come home, be honest (but in a polite way). Believe me, when I was in high school, I babysat a lot and most of the kids were brats. You just have to be the authority figure when you first start watching her (as opposed to being her friend and letting her run a muck) and she'll grow to respect you. Then you can start being more lax with her and she still won't walk all over you. Good luck!
