1. you'll be fine with the pain, for the first two three days just eat soft food like bread or chicken or something.

when you have braces it's actually good to eat gum, it relieves pain after chewing and helps your teeth move faster.

  2. When I got braces it did not hurt badly. When getting them on, it did not hurt at all. No needles.

WHenever I got my braces tightned, howver, my mouth was sore the next few days. Take tylonal.

I always chewed gum when I had braces, Just do not put the gum in front of your teeth by the braces or anything.

ALl of the pain and gum limitations as to where you can put it is so worth it once you see the end result!!!!

  3. Haha, no needles! And no, it doesn't hurt. But it takes a while getting used to. And yes, you can chew gum regardless of what your orthodontist says. There's almost no difference!

  4. no needles usually

and yeah it's a little sore but no worries

and yeah i ate everything they told me not to including chewing gum.

    good luck!

  5. I just got mine off Tues.

It hurts to some people, it will be a little sore for 2-3 days after you get them on.

Gum- sorry no. IT could get stuck.

    No needles!

After thats done, it only hurts if/when theyre tightened and or rubberbands.

TRUST ME! I had to wear six rubberbands at a time!

    Good luck!

  6. no needles.

i believe you can eat gum but it has to be sugarless

and it doesn't really hurt when they put them on (you only feel pressure)

but once you go home, your teeth will be sore.

  7. Nick, my friend, It isn't as bad as you think. I know how you feel and you hear stories about how they hurt and all that, but it is really not so bad. I didn't need any needles, but I didn't have to get teeth pulled. My brother had two teeth pulled so he had to get a shot. He said it didn't hurt and he can't stand pain at all.

For me, I had rubber bands so I couldn't chew gum for a while but I got used to eating altoids and their okay. I had to cut the corn off of the cobs just like my grandparents but that was okay too for a couple years cuz now my teeth are bright white and I like to smile with straight teeth. So yeah it's a hassle for a little while but it's worth it. Good Luck!
