Question

hi have a appontment next thursday to go.

we have already talked about my plan and all that/

its time to get them. what will she do on thursday.

will she tell me i need to do a cleaning first?

No you will be fine. Getting braces on is annoying but doesnt hurt. After like 2 days your used to them! It mostly huts like 5 hours after you get them on :) ( i dont think you will have to get a cleaning just brush and floss before you go)

You don&#039;t need to do a cleaning. You will just be laying there for about an hour while they fit the braces to your teeth. It won&#039;t hurt at all, don&#039;t worry! First they secure the brackets[little metal piece] too each tooth and then they put on the arch-wire[wire between the brackets] and other thing depending on what type brace your getting. After about 2-6 hours you will start to feel sore, if you take pain meds like Advil  the pain will go away. Make sure you take it every few hours to keep the pain from returning. After 2-3 days the pain will go away completely and you won&#039;t need Pain meds anymore. For the first week you won&#039;t be able to eat anything solid so stock up on jello, yogurt, mashed potatoes and anything else you don&#039;t need to chew. If you brush well and  and avoid harmfull foods you&#039;ll be on your way to a perfect grin in no time!

theyll make you brush your teeth then theyll get some pretty bad tasting glue and put it in and the the ortho will put the metal in then one of the helpers will put in the wire and the colored bands!

P.S. they have hot people at my brace place!!! lol
