I have a compost pile and i heard browns should be added to help it so i add a shreaded used paper plate, a popsicle stick and some wood chims do popsicle sticks and paper plates count as browns??????

Yes they will countm but not enough to get the compost working.  Lots of tree leaves, shredded and chipped brush and weeds along with your grass clippings. The less grass and the more chippings the better.
