is canada a third world country because my friends told me it has no running water and people have no electricity maybe they were joking but idk so someone tell me

we are right on par with the US as far as development.  You could be in Toronto or Vancouver and same as Chicago, NY, San Fran  or whatever.  Water, sure we have more fresh water than any other country in the world and sorry but yes 99.5% of homes have city supplied running water and electricity . By percentage more high speed cable than anywhere else too.   Cell phones hdtv, dvd are all commonplace.

There are small isolated settlements up north that rely on local groundwater and its not so good maybe thats what you heard?.

No, Canada isn&#039;t a 3rd world country. It&#039;s one of the best countries in the world, while USA didn&#039;t even make it to the top ten. When I&#039;m old enough, I&#039;m moving to Canada, and I know for a fact that it has electricity and running water. Tell your friend and teacher to get their facts straight.

I&#039;m not getting mad at you but your history teacher is a (insert mrofanity here)ing moron.  Canada has a one of the highest standards of living in the world (1Norway, 2.Sweeden 3.CANADA 4.Belgum 5.Australia 6.UNITED STATES) with all of the modern conveniences (inclunding Electricity and Running Water).  Sorry for sounding angry, but I am.
