What do you think of Cricket in the United Kingdom. Is it as popular as it is in Pakistan, India, and Australia. I live in the United States, so, like, I wouldnt know.

I believe it is more popular in the south of England then the north, but I would Think it is very popular as a domestic sport as in Australia. Summer IS cricket in Aus & Eng.

Cricket is very popular in UK - its birthplace. Cricketeres (cricket players) from around the world play in the county circuit in the UK. Besides county cricket there are lesser leagues in place as well. The Barmy army is a small but boistrous crowd of English supporters who follow the English team around the world. Wales and Scotland have their own international teams but they hardly compare to the English team which competes at the international level with the big boys (Australia, Pakistan, India, South Africa, New Zealand, The West indies) on a regular basis.

The cricket crowds in England are much less noisy than their football counterparts who are known for hooliganism. Cricket in England is keenly followed and English people will know cricket figures from their team and other international teams even if they are not hardcore fans.
