I don't understand anticyclones and depressions like how temperatures and weather changes as the different fronts pass by. Help I have a geography exam on wednesday and need to know this, I need to know exactly how they work! I know that a depression generally brings unsettled weather and low pressure and has fronts and the isobars on a map are closer together.... and that an anticyclone has no fronts, high pressure and the isobars are further apart. But how do temperatures change and what happens when cold and warm fronts in depressions and anticyclones pass through an area??? HELP ME PLEASEE!!! lol! thanks to all who answerr! xx

 1. As a front approaches, whether it's a warm front, cold, or occluded, the wind may increase so the temperature appears to drop. It will also get cloudier, and then rain will come along. Usually, it's long slow rain before a warm front, short sharp rain before a cold front. Obviously, as the front passes over, the air that follows it will be warmer after a warm front passes, and colder after a cold front. Hope this helps. A good place to look this up might be a sailing club website. Weather really matters to them, so they tend to get it right.
