I have been trying for months to get a good look from eyeliner and I just can't do it! Every time I put it on it looks to bold and dark. All I want is to have my eyes look naturally defined and look wide open! When I put it on my top lash-line it looks soooo goofy! Please HELP!?!?!?!?

  1. put it on your water line...dont put it on the top lash line. also try putting smaller lines?? or smudge it soo its not as bold

  2. I had trouble with this too.

    okay, so what I do.

is I do NOT wear liquid eyeliner.

that stuff is gross, and it makes your eyes look really really out of shape because it's one huge line.

get a pencil liner, and put your finger on the outside of your eye, and pull towards your ear. then do one smooth line. right above your eyelashes.

then, get a q tip; and smooth it out. you can even blend it with your color of eyeshadow. that's what I do! and I love the look!♥

    good luck! :D

  3. Well you can try using a different color.

Like you can use brown (that's what I do).

You can put a little on the bottom and put a lil bit on the top.

Also try putting a little bit of eye shadow on the bottom to secure the liner.

    :D

  4. i use bare minerals powder liner, if you are blonde, i would use the color root, using their precision eyeliner brush, and there heavenly liner brush to blend it, powder liner is the only way to go, liquid liner make you look trashy, and pencil doesnt look natural at all, powder takes practice though, try it a couple times and itwill look perfect, to apply it to your top lashline, close your eye then press your on the outer edge of your eye and pull towards your hairline, use small strokes across the entire lashline with the precicision brush the use the other brush and sweep it across the lashline a few times to blen it, do the same with your lower lashline, you can view the products at bareescentuals.com the liner shadow is under eyecolor, and the brushes are under eye/tools, hope you at least look at the makup, its fantastic

  5. you could use a lighter color or a pencil eyeliner. mark has a lot of different options for eyeliners. http://vanonas.mymarkstore.com

  6. hot topic

  7. i use a pencil eye liner, not a liquid. it's not the pencil one though that actually looks like a pencil. i use one that is in a stick and i think it would be easier to use. it allows you to put it on thinner, so it's not too bold. you still have to make sure you don't put it on too think, but i think it's easier. try to put the eyeliner as close as you can to your lash line. it took me a while to get it, but after some practice i can finally get a straight line close to my lash line, so don't be discouraged if you can do it well right away. what also helps is if you take a q tip and gently go over where you applied the eyeliner (don't press too hard or it will come right off) and it makes it softer and less bold. i got my eyeliner at Wal-Mart, so it's not too expensive. you don't have to use alot. i think a more natural look is prettier rather than when people put alot of eyeliner on. i hope this helps.
