1. True repair all divots

Brian goes first shot lowest score

depends on the chip...a 6 iron, 8 iron, pitching wedge type of bump and run is same stroke as a putt, with emphasis of hitting the toe end of the club,( like raise the heel a bit) to get less pop out of the club and more consistency.

longer chips or pitches with a sandwedge or similar clubs cannot be done with a putting stoke because they require more force.

wrists shouldn't bend a lot during a chip, but this does not mean they don't move with the club. key is not to break your wrists. Tip of the day: loose grip and keep your head down on the whole shot, even after you have hit it and put a lot of your weight on your left side when chipping. all the best cheers

    3. True

    4. False

  4. true, brian goes first, true, false

  5. Repair a divot:

Usually, yes, but sometimes a course will do this for you. For instance, when I played Kiawah Island, it's included as part of the greens fee, but you are usually responsible for fixing them yourself. Make sure, though, that you know whether the course wants you to replace your divot, sand the divot or both. Different types of grasses need different repair. With Bermuda, for instance, you don't replace your divot, you simply sand the hole you've left and let the grass fill it in itself.

    Order of teeing off:

There are 2 ways to do this:

    1. You play ready golf, meaning when you're ready, you hit. This is the general rule that most people use when playing a recreational round with their buddies.

    2. You play "honors". A person receives "the honor" when he has the low score on a hole. In your example, Brian has won the honor for the next hole. This system is mostly used in tournaments, or more formal rounds.

Sometimes, though, guys will play system #1 (ready golf) unless a guy gets a great score on a hole, then they'll give him the honor on the next hole, just to be nice, (i.e., "Hey, Birdie man, you've got the honor on this hole!")

Chipping stroke & whether wrists bend a lot:

In general, chips (which are shorter) fairly closely resemble a putting stroke, whereas pitches (which are longer) are more like a smaller version of the full swing.

If you want the ball to travel most of the distance to the hole on the ground, it's a chip (also called a bump 'n run) and you should keep your wrists relatively stiff during the stroke. You should also keep your hands in front of the clubhead. This will deloft the club and create a lower shot.

If you want the ball to travel most of the distance to the hole in the air, it's a pitch and you should allow your wrists to hinge a moderate amount. This will allow the clubhead to release through impact, adding loft to the shot.

    Putting stroke:

No, your feet should be perpendicular (or close) to your target line. In fact, your stance for a putt is not very different from any other shot; your feet should be (roughly) shoulder width apart, with your feet (roughly) perpendicular to the target line. How exactly you take your putting stance is a matter of comfort and personal preference; you'll figure it out for yourself.

    Hope this helps!

  6. true, you should repair a divot

Brian, he shot the lowest on the previous hole

true, similiar to the same stroke

    False, your wrist shouldnt bend

  7. Gazoo is correct on all but the chip questions. A chip stroke is done like a putt using the shoulders more than the arms. You wrist should stay straight just like when you putt.

  8. Repair Divot?

It's common curtasey if it's easy to repair, but many times people take huge chunks out of the grass when they swing...it happens and it's the job of the owner to make sure the tee off area is clean and fresh.

You chose an order and stick to it from the beginning. Then once you start a hole the farthest person from the hole goes first.

    IE Hole 1...

Andy hits it 50 meters from the hole

Brian hits it 100 meters from the hole

Chad hits it 10 meters from the hole

David hits it 80 meters from the hole

The tee off order is Andy, Brian, Chad, then David.

After the tee off, Brian would go first since he's furthest from the hole.

Once everyond finishes, everyone lines up according to the original tee off order

    Chip like a putt?

From my experience it's fairly similar...true?

    Bend wrists?

    No Idea
