Uninstall lime wire, and install another P2P sharing program, like Ares, iMesh, Bear share, etc.. Lime wire might not being spyed by government but the eMail was fake spam. You can continue using it if you like, but I suggest you use another program mentioned above.

LimeWire is beeing sued, for allowing illegal file sharing:
