I am looking into building an outdoor aviary and I wanted to know if cockatiels are too aggressive to put with lovebirds.

Also, I will be breeding the birds.

I will give a five star review for the best answer!

  1. It's probably the other way around. Love birds can be mean! I've never seen two cockatiels kill each other, but I have seen love birds kill each other so I wouldn't recommend putting them together in an aviary.

  2. yep i'm with the 1st answer!!!!

  3. Actually, it's the lovebirds who are aggressive and would likely kill the cockatiels, and it would be easy for them because cockatiels won't fight back much.

  4. the love birds will definitely pick on the cockatiels..

cockatiels will get along with most other birds.. budgies, doves, quails....

love birds are best being alone. they are aggressive and distructive..

i have never bred love birds, but assume it is the same for all birds, in spring put in some nest boxes and sit back and see if any decide to breed. (usually its best to let nature take its course)
