Question

I ran a scan on my computer for viruses since a game I wanted to play found a hacking attempt, ancd it came up with one out of the ordinary result, and that was Hijacker.Affiliated_With_Browser_Hijacke... (1 infection found).

I need to get rid of it in order to play my game, so are there any free Virus removal programs that can get rid of this?

That&#039;s Russian spyware. They infect your machine, trying to scare you into buying their c**p, which will infect your machine even more. Get a good antispyware, as an ordinary antivirus won&#039;t touch this. Try SuperAntiSpyware.

This is known as Browser Hijack it will normally redirect you a website when you are browsing the web. Which can lead to other problems.

Ad-Aware is sure to fix this as it scans for Browser Hijacks

However if your saying the game was infected with this then you cannot play the game without getting infected with this as the game is dropping the file into your system.
