1. I've seen the movie and I'm a toughie I don't cry when I see something sad instead I laugh. I know terrible. Yes this movie was sad and I was moved but not far enough that I was going to cry. It just made me love horses even more.

Oh and I have the book I just haven't read it yet

  2. I liked the movie. I haven't read the book.

My Daughter was hit by a semi while riding. It broke her leg in 3 places. Riped and tore some tendons, ligaments and some other damage. The horse had a fractured pelvis and lots of bruising.

    Both survived with Gods grace.

  3. I read the book about a year before I saw the movie. The imagery in the movie was nothing shy of gorgeous, but the book tells a superior story. I have often found that when a book is made into a movie, something is lost in translation. This is why I think a lot of people are apt to say that "the book is better". In this case, I really do have to agree.

I felt for Pilgrim far more in the book than I did in the movie. His injuries were far more grotesque in the book, and that made his triumph all the greater.

As for whether it moved me or not, that's complicated. I cheered for Pilgrim, but I disliked the adulterous relationship between the mother and the horse trainer. I love a good love story, but adultery just leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. I guess it just bites too close to personal experience.

  4. I rlly moved me! And it made me cry at points too! It's an amazing movie but I haven't read the book yet.

  5. Well, the movie was pretty good, but I definitely preferred the book. Not only did the book provide lots of additional information, it also had a happy part at the end after a horrible tragedy (those who have read the book will know what I'm talking about).
