okay so i've been using limewire for three years now. it's the 2006 free version and all of a sudden it won't connect to the internet! it says that it is currently connecting to the network and that search results may not appear right away...but they never appear. i don't think i even have a firewall but my parentals might have put one on but not recently! it just stopped working for no reason. i also tried unistalling and then installing it again but that didn't help at all.

my second problem is that my friends myspace keeps getting hacked and then she changes her password over and over but it keeps getting hacked! any possibility that its a glitch with the computer or something? anything else she can do? w/e she asked me to ask my computer hahahahh your welcome nikole...

for the first one,

take the version of limewire off of your computer and download a newer version. your music will  NOT BE DELETED if you use limewire for itunes.

and for the second, she should just create a new one and just notify and re add her friends because possibly there was a phising problem because she probably clicked on an advertisement.

first the limewire. there is a sister music sharer that is called &quot;frostwire&quot;. way better than limewire and easier to use. i highly recommend it to anyone.

your friend is getting hacked because she is going onto pages that looks like myspace. if she has mozilla, an alert should say you might be going off the myspace website. make sure she changes the email and password, and dont click links on other peoples profile unless she knows its safe for her profile.

by the way, since frostwire is a sister server of limewire, your music will be transfered and nothing will be lost!

im going to make this fast and simple

delete the limewire, then re-download it. don&#039;t worry the songs will still be on there.

*personally* i think you should use frostwire instead. it is the SAME as limewire, but it is a lot faster and doesnt give your computer viruses like limewire does. and im pretty sure that when you switch it still keeps your songs

and for your friend, tell her to change her email password too, because on myspace you can just click &quot;forgot password&quot; and it sends your myspace password to your email adress.

The person obviously knows her email adress too.

Or shes logging into a site that looks like myspace and it&#039;s not. make sure she checks the link that it says myspace. or maybe its a family member messing around with ther myspace
