my sister thinks her dogs have mange....she wants to know if it can kill the dogs, and also if humans get infected, can it harm humans....thank you

Mange is caused mites that live in the ground.  There are different kinds of mites that cause mange.  The saroptic mite can cause mange in dogs and it can be transmitted to humans.  It looks like a tiny tick.  It can cause infections from scratching, but is not deadly.  It causes hair loss.  Take them to the vet for treatment and mediations, and don&#039;t hold the dogs till you find out what kind of mange they have.  Not all mange can be transmitted to humans....
