1. Alright,

    QJ Net:

    "According to David Reeves, the PSP-3000 will have its own built-in microphone, and has an enhanced LCD screen that will “increase intensity and the number of colours that can be displayed – and is easier to view in natural light."

    We now also got word from the US Sony blogs that the PSP-3000 is also coming to North America as part of the Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters PSP Entertainment Pack bundle. They've also now announced a PSP 4GB Memory Entertainment Pack which includes a 4GB memstick PRO Duo.

    IGN Says:

    Australia, August 20, 2008 - As our US office reported earlier from Leipzig, Sony today announced the next PSP model, the 3000. It has the same base functionality and ergonomics as the PSP Slim & Lite (aka the 2000), but "the quality of the screen has been advanced to offer crisper colours with more definition when used outside in natural light, plus a built-in microphone has been incorporated," we imagine primarily for use with Skype and Go Messenger.

    Aussie gamers will be able to pick up the PSP 3000 from October 16 for an RRP of AU $299.95. For now there's no bundle, just the standalone system.

    So it Will have the size of the slim+Built in mic+a better LCD screen,

    And will be released in October

  2. The new PSP retains the size and features of the current, slimmed-down PSP (PSP-2000), while incorporating some hardware updates:

    The LCD screen will have a wider color gamut and higher contrast ratio to deliver deeper, more vibrant colors, as well as anti-reflection technology so you can see the screen more clearly when playing outdoors. As you all know, the PSP’s screen is a key strength of the hardware, and this update adds an absolutely dazzling LCD screen to the handheld.

    A built-in microphone allows for Skype calls and multi-player gaming communication directly from the hardware - eliminating the need for attaching a separate headset.

    October 2008

  3. Sony's second major announcment is that it's releasing new PSP Entertainment packs that include an upgraded PSP-3000 system. According to Sony, the new PSP will have a built-in microphone and an upgraded LCD screen with "a wider color gamut and higher contrast ratio to deliver deeper, more vibrant colors, as well as anti-reflection technology." The built-in microphone is a welcome addition because you currently need a headset to use communication services such as Skype and Go!Messenger on the older PSP systems.

    The new PSP will be packaged with a Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters PSP Entertainment Pack and a new "PSP 4GB Memory Entertainment Pack". The Ratchet & Clank package will include a silver PSP, a 1GB memory stick, a yet to be named UMD movie, and a PlayStation Network download voucher for echochrome. The Rachet & Clank pack will ship this October at the familiar $199 price point and expect the PSP-3000 to slip into the $169 PSP Core Pack later this year..

    --> October 14th for $199.99

    A second entertainment pack has also been announced called the PSP 4GB Memory Entertainment Pack.

    *Piano Black PSP-3000

    *4GB Memory Stick PRO duo

    *Everyday Shooter PSN voucher

    -->november for $199.99

  4. I don't know when it comes out, but the new features will be a built in microphone and a brighter, better screen.
