Question

Hello, I know a lot of you will think I am weird for this but I am 13 and I like sucking on a pacifier, I don't find it weird and I don't care what other people think either, but I was just wondering if there was a physiological reason I do this, I never sucked on one when I was a baby or my thumb (still don't do the thumb thing) also do you think it's weird if so...why what is weird about it pacifiers are meant to be sucked, also how many of you also suck on pacifiers and are not afraid to admit it (i know u are)

I work at a middle school and we had a problem with a group of kids doing this at school. Apparently it was some gang related thing..Anyways I would suggest you figure out what you are compensating for by sucking a pacifier.Are you lonely, frustrated, depressed? Are our you doing this to feel better about something? I would suggest you go speak to your guidance counselor or a psychologist who maybe able to help you deal with the pacifier issue. As you begin exploring this issue you may find there are a lot of underlying issues that need to be dealt with. Good luck with this.

the weird thing about it is they are for babies not teenagers. they were made to help the baby with the natural sucking when the baby is full but still has the urge to suck. you should put down the paci and chew on some gum or even a toothpick. i am guessing you are not sucking on that thing in public.
