I feel really paranoid but I don't know whether it is really paranoia, jelousy or something more. Theres this guy I like and we talk alot and have been 'involved' for some time now, however whenever this other girl is around he goes and talks to her and it makes me feel like he just talks to me when she isn't there. Am I being paranoid or what?

Depends on what he's saying to her. If she's just a friend it's OK. If he's looking to date her, dump him quick.

You say "involved" in inverted commas, like its not really a proper relationship. Who's idea is that? Are you, or he, not wanting to make a proper commitment? Do you have one of those men that "need their space" and wont call it a relationship? If so, I wouldnt just be paranoid about that girl, I'd be seriously and justifiably worried about where the whole thing is headed.

I would say your instincts are spot on and he fancies her. Either he doesnt want you to know for some reason or he really does not want to act on it (or she already blew him out...) I think, if you feel deep in your guts and cant get the idea out of your head no matter how rational you try to be, then its happening how you think it is.

But hey, I'm very cynical now having met guys that sound just like your's and NEVER been proved wrong yet.

Because you get jelous and then that jelousy starts making you think that there is something more going on between this guy & girl , but like 99% of the time there is nothing going on . x

u might be right. dont mean to be an *** but it sounds like ur an alternative. the girl the dude is tryin to go for is his main target while ur just the second place prize

Maybe? Why don't you ask him? Tell him how you feel.  Tell him how his actions are making you feel.  It's tough but it what's needed if a relationship is going to last.  You have to be able to talk about these things.

Just do it in a non threatening way, don't make accusations,  Say something like it's probably silly but I kinda feel...  If you get a hostile reaction your probably right.  If it's not true he should just be cool with it.

God I hate that. When some girl waltz's in the room and they drop everything they're doing, including the conversation they are having with you at that second to sly to her like a magnet. Grr I hate it. And I've been on the receiving end and I know it's not fair, although I wasn't attracted to the guy, it was my cousin and I went on a ride with him at an amusement park and stuck up for him when our friends argued with him and eventually we hung out with a few people he knows and like, but I didn't really know them. Then he left ME like I did for him to go and see this girl he liked, so the rest of my day out was with people I weren't close to and it was SO awkward. However in your case I think you may feel a little jealous, but him just leaving you also probably annoys you, so don't put all the blame on yourself! Men are just pigs at the best of times, who don't care or probably even realize when they hurt you or how bad =(
