Question

I found the type of dog i want (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) for an amazing price. I have researched them and they seem like the rite dog for me. small very loving and adorable. But wen i looked for some they were ridiculously priced(cuz its the last dog and they want to find a home)(its also registered). so wen i found this one i was so exxcited. The people live only like 30 mins away from me!!! But my step dad said i cant get a dog till spring. But i asked these people if they would have another liter and they said they might but it they do the price will go way up.

How can i tell him tht thi is a one time opportunity??

please no answers about gettin a dog at the shelters cuz there annoying and i dont want a big dog and the shelters mostly have bigger dogs.

Good choice on a dog.

Before you go get the doggie, I suggest you go to the breeder, and go into the home that the puppy is raised.  Play with the mother and the father, ask TONS of questions about the parents, and see how they react and if the puppy is living at home and this is a proper breeder and not a puppy mill.  

Go on the internet and check out points to see about looking for the &quot;Right breeder&quot; and what qualities they should or shouldn&#039;t have.  You may have some serious problems with health etc when you get the puppy from a wrong breeder.

Now on convincing your step dad.

First thing, you need to ask or find out the reasons why he thinks he would like for you to get a dog in the spring rather than now.

Once you find out the top three reasons, then you begin to defend them and show him your reasons.

Convincing someone to allow you to get a dog is like making a sale and putting out the proper pitch.

Just be sure you can take care of this dog and stick to what you preach.  Be responsible.

tell him exactly what you&#039;re saying.

just let him know that if you don&#039;t buy it now, you&#039;ll probably end up spending much more money than you want. SO....to save money, you think it&#039;s best to buy the dog now. Just compromise. it should work.

the breed is very rare so act know also ask the breeder about any medical update for a cheap king charles spaniel probably has something wrong with it also see if u can see it BEFORE u get him so at least it will know u and your smell also check his ear behind his ears and check all over for a skin disorder and see if he has a butterfly like shape on his nose for lose of any hair cuase it could be a skin disorder or lupus wich he will die from lupus!!!
