1. You should talk your parents into an agreement, you'll pay for it, take care of it, clean up after it, and when you don't they ca nsell, it, and you can pay them however much y ou bought him for originally.

This usually works on my mom, not so much on my dad. But then again, I got my rabbit after begging and Pleading for 3 years, all of a sudden after 4-H Fair, my dad was all"I guess we could fit a bunny in"

And thats how I ended up with Holliee.

Rabbits, can be smart, but like many animals some are very dumb, my last one was EXTREMELY SMART, too smart for my own good, and it got the best of me, and he had to be returned to the breeder, man, he was a biter, so thats how I ended up with Holliee.

I suppose if your bunny was smart enough, you could teach it a trick, but I wouldn't try, mine have never known any tricks, the only thing I've tought mine to do, is go potty in a litter box.

  2. why should they

you don't know squat about them

  3. haha naw rabbits can't do tricks they're kinda boring to be honest..

but anyways get a parrotlet they're sick u can teach them to do alot of sick stuff..

    mine can dance on command.

  4. I had rabbits before .. they aren't the funnest pet.. they p**p balls all over the floor ..Get a puppy!

  5. rabbits are pretty smart for animals that can't make noise. they can become familiar with your backyard and house and whatever, and they know where their cage is. but they can't do any tricks, sorry to break it to you hahah. they can open letters with their teeth but thats about it!

convincing them? well just tell them it will teach you responsibility and it can stay outside! just make sure it's an outdoor bunny and you don't have any wild animals like cats, dogs, turkeys, deer, foxes and what not roaming around your area or they'll attack your rabbit. if it's an indoor bunny don't keep it in your room the cage smells DISGUSTING! speaking of, mention that you'll clean the cage every week. just please, promise yourself and your parents you wont abandon it. most kids just forget about the pet and leave it up to the parents, or just anlone and sad. then when you finally try to play with it your rabbit won't try you and try to ump out of your hands. play with you rabbit and love him like family :)

    good luck!

  6. Reasons: They're quiet and don't bite as much as everyone says they do.

YESS very smart. If you get them as babies they're able to learn their names. Tricks: sorta, with a bit of good treats you can teach them to spin around once.

  7. i have two rabbits named penny and leo.

all rabbits are really stupid, so you won't be able to teach them tricks, sorry lol.

I suggest keeping them in the garage because it is the perfect temperature for them. they get too hot and too cold very easily

otherwise, they are wonderful pets and easy to take care of, as long as you wash out their cage once a week.

Oh! and holland lops are the best kind. the perfect size.

    hope i helped!!!

  8. smart yes

    tricks no

  9. Please look over http://www.rabbit.org/

  10. i have a mini rex, they are small don't need to much attention they are very cute and smart you can teach them names that they recognize!

  11. my mom made a deal with me when i was like 9 or 10 that if i didn't get an attitude with her for a month she would get me one. and i did on the last day on accident. but apparently she had already had it for a week keeping it at work because i was doing so good lol

  12. Put pepper on a rock. When a rabbit sneezes it will hit its head and you can scoop him up before he wakes up.

  13. I convinced my parents by telling them that they can be litter box trained, extreamly smart, and you can have fun with them for hours, great for little kids also. all my cousins play with them...

    there great entertainers.

Lol Your parents should be convinced by then :]

And also, you can get a dwarf rabbit for under $50 and it stays under 4lbs. in San Antonio!

  14. They're good for multiplying and pooping.

  15. rabbits are a hassel. cleanning them crazy. smart but not smart enough to do tricks :)

  16. Smart yes

    Tricks yes

  17. i have a bunny it is very lazy but when it comes to opening the cage he runs fast away from the cage and they are smart but the tricks well mine could only follow food good luck dude :)

  18. show reponsibility, read ever bunny book u can get ur hands on, go to the public library, trust me, it worked , getting my first iguana

  19. A neighbor of mine has a rabbit then runs through his apartment. He has taught it how to use a litter box as a cat would and eat out of a bowl in a specific location. But I doubt your parents will let you have a rabbit outside of a cage though. As for tricks. I never saw my friends rabbit do anything. Other then growl at me.

  20. Best advice I know of is to spend a lot of time in the first month (at the least) bonding so he/she will trust you. And get a book on owning bunnies, doesn't have to be a big text book, just a bit about your bunnies needs and bunny body language is actually quite useful to know too. No to tricks, but yes the will sit and be petted when they feel like it, and they will come up to you for affection (petting) and do cool jump/spin things when they are happy. If you are not willing to 'bunny-proof' any room they will be running round in then don't get one, they will always chew thing so you will have to watch them and encourage good chewing behaviour on things you give them to chew (wooden toys etc.).

  21. i hope you don't abandon it like so many kids do with pets they want so badly. personally, i hope your parents say no. i know i know, thumbs down. whatevs!

  22. Rabbits............this title makes me think of a Tori Amos song....anyways, rabbits I have heard from a close friend of mine are totally trainable. They will go in their litter.

To convince your parents you have to prove to them that YOU will take care of the rabbits...so maybe volunteer at a local SPCA?

I wish you luck on your rabbit hunt.

  23. You have to convince your parents you are willing to take care of it. You're also going to have to read up on taking care of rabbits, if you haven't already. It wouldn't hurt if your parents SAW you studying up. Trust me, showing great interest and curiosity is more compelling than nagging. I don't know too much about rabbits but do know they are smarter and show more personality than people expect. Hope you don't have a cat or large dog. Good luck!
