1. You must mean "height above sea level". Kedarnath, Badrinath are in the Tehri-Garhwal tracks of the Himalayas --Uttarakhand -- this region now under the radar of UN WTO --United Nations World Travel Organization. Rishikesh and Kathmandu are urban places, the first, at the base of the hills and the other, in the valley nesting between rivers in the Himalayas.

Will see if I can get actual terms of feet above sea level...

OK, here are the facts : --

Kathmandu is 4, 344 feet above sea level. ( @ Confluence of Vishnumati and Baghmati rivers, valley)

    Rishikesh is 1,160 feet above...

Kedarnath is 10, 500 above sea level...

Badrinath is 10, 248 feet above...

  2. Sorry Coconutt. U r not all right. Height above MSL r as follows

Rishikesh 412 metre (1360 feet) (in foot hills)

    Badrinath - 3,133 metre

    Kedarnath - 3,584 metre

    Kathmandu - 1376 metre (4,530 feet) (in a valley)

Thus they r not of same height.
