who would you think the best women tennis player today and why?

I&#039;m still going with Venus Williams after what she did at Wimbledon. It look like she will have to get passed her sister Serena in the QF&#039;s this shouldn&#039;t be a problem.

definitely Dinara Safina... hot streak, right? too bad the double fault disease got to her at the olympics... but with all these injuries ans slumps...she&#039;s still tops at the moment...aside from the Williamses

we&#039;ll see after the US Open if this lady can maintain consistency for her game to grow, not to mention developing a good serve! ;)

who knows, maybe she can even make a run for the top spot...

i&#039;m staying tuned for that...
