1. Teaching is a wonderful field if you can find a job. I am certified to teach and cannot find work. There is a myth that there is a nationwide teaching shortage when in fact there is not. What is true is that there are pockets of shortages in certain states for certain subjects. It comes down to exactly what you want to teach and where you live. In many states, getting an elementary job is impossible, while in others you will usually be able to find a job teaching high school math. Politics are the norm, people often get jobs because they know the right people. If you are willing to move after graduating, that will definitely make it easier to find a job. So, it is super important to be willing to relocate or willing to teach what is available in your area. Teaching requires genuine love of children, lots of patience, tons of paperwork and hours outside the classroom. It is NOT about having summers off and getting home by 3 everyday. If you want to be a good teacher, you will spend lots of hours outside the classroom. You will not get rich, but you can make a reasonable living in many states and the rewards are awesome. If I could move, I would, because I love it so much.

  2. Im a college professor; I love my job, it's very fulfulling, fun, good pensions, and lots of time off.

    accountants tell me they work 60 plus hours per week. My dad's an accountant. Wouldn't recommend it. Very boring job. & CPA's have very confusing jobs.

    technician: good pay, but boring math stuff.

  3. X-Ray and Ultrasound are both very interesting. You have the choice of office work (a little tedious and not as much money but daytime hours with no weekends or holidays) or hospital work (interesting cases, more money, any shift, weekends, holidays).

    I could never be a teacher, I don't have the parience for 30 healthy kids. Give me an ill child who I can take care of any time.

    Accounting, I don't have experience with.

  4. Teaching -> You are a moving spitball target

    Accounting -> Its a dead-end job

    Technician -> There are way to many stupid people bugging you at all hours..
