How do u get over turrets?

You can&#039;t &#039;get over&#039; Turrets.  There are medications that help to lessen the twitching, etc.  Trial studies are also being conducted.  Talk to a doctor.

first of all its tourettes syndrome my son suffers from it and its nothing that you can get over there are medications that can lessen the verbal and muscular twitches and they can also be surpressed for several months at a time but once it gets to much they will become more &quot;violent&quot;.  Tourettes is somethin that can be monitored and helped with medication but it is a life long thing that never goes away for long.

Its not a mental illness as such its an involuntary muscle or verbal spasm.

some medications can help reduce the &#039;ticks&#039; and outbursts.

and therapy can help too but ive never known anyone to be completely over it

I think it can be controled to an extent, by medications, and counceling.  I know that they have surgeries too, that can lessen the symptoms, not sure if they can get rid of it 100%
