Question

where can i get prices for timber on the net. every time i try and type in timber prices i cant get what i want. i have to price out a big job and if i go the shop, i will have to go to twenty shops and this is too time consuming!

Specials or Graded timbers normally used for structural works are normaly stamped G3 or G4 and because they have to be sorted &amp; selected individually they then tend to cost a little more than &#039;standard&#039; timbers.

As a builder over many years I have been in similar situations having to source various timbers many times, some from abroad.

I have accounts at various timber importers &amp; timber merchants .. obviously prices vary according to the quantity required, the more you order the better price you will get

If you have a list of what you need I could advise you where you may obtain best prices for each quantity of different sized timbers, with delivery to London or to surrounding areas in the South East.

go to yell.com type in timber merchants and put your area in a list will come up and most of them display their websites on here as well
