I bought an Monster 1000HD HDMI cable for my new HD tv and when i plugged it in all of a sudden my resolution changed to a 1080 to a 720.

Can anyone one help me out to on how to get it back to 1080 resolution?

 1. Go to your settings; your monster cable should not have done that. You should be able to reset your tv back to default settings.

 2. Is there a setting on either your TV or whatever the other end of the cable is plugged into? I've heard of one device changing the other's resolution settings on the initial handshake after you finish hooking the two together and turn them on.

 3. Resolution is set by the data that comes over the cable, not by the cable. Did you change sources? What were you watching before that gave you 1080? What is the HDMI cable connected to?
