Oops!  I think you made a wrong turn.  You&#039;re on a Yahoo! Answers site.  it&#039;s where members of this site ask questions and get answers, not cancel memberships.  This isn&#039;t Yahoo! Groups.  You don&#039;t write to Yahoo here. And you don&#039;t cancel a group membership here.  You do that (surprisingly) on the group&#039;s site.  

Go to your groups main page.  Make sure you&#039;re logged on

Click on &quot;Edit Membership&quot; on the top of the page. (makes sense, doesn&#039;t it?)

Go to the bottom of that page

On the right you&#039;ll see a button that says &quot;Leave Group&quot;

Guess What?  You click on that.

go to this link http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups click edit my groups on the top left- locate group (if there&#039;s more than one) under the last column Leave Group, check small box - click save changes

if you&#039;re an e-mail only member, leaving via e-mail is faulty at this time and has huge delays
