1. Marines have done so much with so little for so long that Marines are qualified to everything with NOTHING.

  2. There is a bond in which Marines share unlike any service. Its a brotherhood that last a lifetime. It is the History,Traditions and the respect and Love for our Corps that is within our souls that separate us from others. Some may say its arrogants . When and if you have ever asked other people what they do. Most responses will sound like this. I'm in the Army,I'm in the Navy,I'm in the Air Force ask a Marine and he will tell you. " I am a Marine"

    From the Halls of Montezuma

    To the Shores of Tripoli;

    We fight our country's battles

    In the air, on land and sea;

    First to fight for right and freedom

    And to keep our honor clean;

    We are proud to claim the title

    of United States Marine.

    Our flag's unfurled to every breeze

    From dawn to setting sun;

    We have fought in every clime and place

    Where we could take a gun;

    In the snow of far-off Northern lands

    And in sunny tropic scenes;

    You will find us always on the job--

    The United States Marines.

    Here's health to you and to our Corps

    Which we are proud to serve

    In many a strife we've fought for life

    And never lost our nerve;

    If the Army and the Navy

    Ever look on Heaven's scenes;

    They will find the streets are guarded

    By United States Marines.

    Semper Fi!!!

  3. Marines/Pride

      Being a Marine is a accomplishment in its own. I was in the Marines for 9 years. When I decided to join the military I really thought it out. I knew from researching that the Marines had the hardest boot camp. When you stand on those Yellow foot prints for the first time you do not know why you went in, but after the full 3 phases of boot camp and learning the history of the US Marines and being called Marine for the first time by a Drill Instructor there is a ton of Pride. Looking back why to this day I am proud of being a Marine. I was a Mortar man in the 2nd Marines Division. In 1999 are MUE was sent into Kosovo. As we were entering this country we stopped at a refugee camp that was empty. A british soilder said that when the Albaniens herd the US Marines Landed in Greece to come help in Kosovo they started to go home. To this day the Pride runs deep in my Heart.

  4. Well I don't know about that, I spent 17 years in the navy before I was hurt, and I'm d**n proud of it. And as for Marines not qualified to do anything, my wife spent 6 years in the marine corp, She's a RN With a BSN thats pretty qualified.

  5. well marines have a reason to be proud and so does every other branch,they are all contributing to this nation.

  6. To understand this, you need to understand the mission of the Marine Corps. Maximum public relations and press coverage is valued above all else. The proud Marines you see are just carrying out their core mission.

    Other services concern themselves with their own core missions, like securing the seas or the sky or the ground. But only the Marines have self-promotion as their primary focus. So the others services sometimes seem to pale in comparison.

  7. It begins at the beginning, your ingrained to believe your the best, and nothing but nothing will stop or hinder you from completing your task.

    You have little in the way of assets, equipment and man power. You go into battle knowing this, and wouldn't have it any other way.

    There is a lot of Esprit De Corp within the Marines, I would say more so than other branches.

  8. i was marines and then un the army. they train you every day that you are unstoppable in the marines(which is not true) when i went in the army i learned to be smart and know what i can realistically do. i once saw a marine run out of ammo and take out his knife to run into the fight. although honorable his family now visits him at a cemetery. why run out with a knife when there is more ammo in the truck behind him. as a former marine. and a soldier in the army. the marines need to tone down the training on how nothing can stop you because a bullet can

  9. It is called 'esprit de corps'. We have the unique camadarie that binds us together. We were instilled in team work, the strength of the Marine Corps. "The strongest chain is its weakest link". We look after the ones that are struggling. Hard to explain, but I spent almost a quarter of my time of service with the other service and they were more of individuals that only look after themselves, particularily the Army. When someone does't show up for formation, you don't scratch you head and say that you will deal with him later (like I witnessed going to the US Army Ranger School), we send 5 Marines looking for him, It doesn't matter if it takes hours; he could be lying in a gutter somewhere.

    A good example is on the recruitment ads on TV. All the other branches flashes college and sign-on bonus propaganda. You will never see a Marine ad with such c**p; we join because earning that title of a Marine has greater pride and dignity! We don't lower ourselves to those standards. The weight of that Eagle, Globe, and Anchor is greater than that $20,000 bonus, I rather p**s on it than accept such an offer. Marines don't sign up for that, we sign up to preserve our freedom and everyone else's; even for Code Pink's right to be g*y!

  10. lol

    reason 1: smallest branch,but hardest working branch

    reason 2: marines actually most of the time fight for america not for money and to look like there better than somebody else(army)

    ps. not thrashing other branches but i do love the marine branch of america and cant wait to be old enough to be one
