1. Periods cause a lot of girls unnecessary worry!

Bear in mind that when you are in any situation, at school, walking down the street, at a shop/store, on holiday

ONE IN EVERY FOUR WOMEN YOU CAN SEE AROUND YOU IS ON THEIR PERIOD!!!!

You don't have to feel self-conscious, you just make sure you have whatever you need in your bag, +go to the toilet whenever the opportunity arises (in between lessons, on breaks etc) change your pad as often as you need to, nobody will think anything unusual (as don't forget, one in every four of them is doing exactly the same!!!) unless you behave in a way that looks odd!!!

Just be cool, casual, and within a short time, you will treat it as just another bodily function that doesn't have to be anything worrying or embarrassing - it's just NORMAL!!!!

  2. Ask your mom first of all. Anyways, you should change your pad during lunch if it's heavy. It's the easiest time. Just tell your friends that you gotta use the little girls room. Pl0x

  3. If your flow is heavy, change it between every class if you can. If you find it out of control, see the school nurse.

  4. you may want to get yourself a menstrual cup, they do them for teenagers.

Changing pads between classes will be ok. Use the night-time ones.

  5. You could also try out tampons. I'm not sure if you feel comfortable with that idea but if you do, then I recommend Pearl by Tampax. They have a new kind that is for travel and whatnot, it's in a yellow package and it's smaller and more discreet. It looks more like candy than a suspected tampon. Also it's comfortable and less likely to leak at all. If you do decide to do so, then wear a pantyliner to be safe. Although some women do not, just as advertised in the commercial.

With pads, if you are heavy, I would say change it every two hours.

With tampons, if you are heavy but using the "normal" flow kind, then I would still change every 2 hours until you can better estimate when you feel better changing.

I hope this helps! Good luck!

  6. Change between classes. Or use tampons and a panty liner

  7. TAMPONS!!! if you have a heavy flow and you know you'll be out all day.... why go to the bother of changing your pad when you can just stick a tampon up you?... just change the tampon when you get home from school... or change back to pad when you get home.. whatever tickles your fancy.

  8. Wear a skirt and no underwear n just keep babywipes in ur backpack then you dont gotta worry about changing.

  9. Use a tampon. Bring extra in your bag.

Take a midol to keep you mood in check.

Drink a lot of water to prevent/ease the period pain.

Use deodorant to cover the period order.

    Wish you the best!

  10. try using tampons and a pad, that way if you feel like you may be leaking you will have some sort of coverage.

  11. this is wht i do..

    wear one in the morning

then change is during lunch time

    works perfect

  12. If you are close to your mother or sisters this is a question for them. If you are not...here goes.

Every woman is different. Some flow slow, other fast. I am like Niagara falls. The first day of my period is so fast and painful, I stay home no matter what is on the schedule. It sucks because my periods are not regular. So...during your period, always carry something. Pad or tampons is your choice. I found tampons to be more discrete but pads nearly eliminate infections like yeast. Every hour, check your pad or change out your tampon. If the flow is slow, move to every two hours. You'll figure out your bodies schedule very quickly. I have never met a woman who didn't have some sort of accident when it came to periods.

ps..keep a calender of when you start and stop. That way, you can predict when your next period will start so it won't come as a surprise.
